“I will never forget the day that we met Dawn. It was an awful time in our lives after our daughter Grace was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Dawn comes into our hospital room, introduces herself to us and my first thought was, who are you? a speech and feeding therapist? and why are you here? Grace has a tracheostomy and a feeding tube, how do you think you could help us is all that is running through my mind (but I never said that to her) I couldn’t have been so wrong!!
Dawn starting working with Grace to help her with her speech. She taught my husband and me techniques to help Grace in between their therapy sessions. Dawn became our biggest asset!
When Grace’s tracheostomy was reversed it was Dawn who was there for us every step of the way in getting Grace to the point where she is now, eating everything and anything she wants. Dawn made sure that every new step we took wouldn’t harm Grace in any way. She gave me useful information on what and where to buy certain drinks. She was very cautious and as much as I wanted Grace to start eating immediately, she never rushed any of the foods and made sure Grace was able to tolerate it all. Dawn treated Grace as if she were her own daughter….and for that I will forever be grateful to her!”

Love you Dawn!!!….it will be 3 years on March 23 that Grace was diagnosed and I am so grateful to be where we are today! xoxo

“Dawn is the most fantastic feeding specialist that we have ever had!! She has been a part of our journey since our son, Miles, was 3 months old and I am always amazed at her excellent observational and diagnostic skills. Her guidance and emotional support has given me so much comfort through the difficult task of getting him to eat orally. I truly can’t say enough good things about her!”
